As I conclude this course, my thoughts are overwhelmingly positive. The course has not only deepened my understanding of health promotion's impact but also inspired me to integrate these techniques into my professional work as a Project Lead in Surgical Strategy. One of the most exciting discoveries during the course was the realization that health promotion, while it may not directly reduce surgical waitlists, can significantly enhance patient outcomes and the overall healthcare system. By promoting healthy behaviours and preventive measures, patients are better prepared for surgery, leading to smoother procedures and faster recoveries.
